Duty Manager The Bank Tavern - Kogarah, NSW

The Bank Tavern, a well-loved local venue in Kogarah, is seeking an experienced and reliable Duty Manager to step in and lead shift operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will take full ownership of running the floor, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring full regulatory compliance across our bar and gaming areas.

About the Role

As the Assistant Manager, you will be crucial in supporting the Venue Manager and ensuring the smooth, efficient, and profitable daily operation of The Bank Tavern. Your role is highly diverse, blending essential management duties with hands-on floor work.

Shift Details & Availability

- Shift Types: Primarily mid-day manager shifts and late-night closing shifts.
- Availability: Strong weekend availability is essential, alongside flexibility for evening rostered shifts.

Pay & Classification

- Award Tier: Hospitality Industry General Award (HIGA) – Food & Beverage Level 4 (Casual).
- Pay Rate: Paid in accordance with HIGA Level 4 casual rates, including applicable weekend and late-night penalty rates.

Key Responsibilities

- Shift Leadership: Oversee full floor and venue operations during trading hours, ensuring team members fulfill their duties and deliver outstanding service.
- Hands-On Floor Service: Perform general bar and gaming attendant duties while actively supervising floor operations,



customer inquiries, and guest compliance.
- Venue Closing & Financials: Execute end-of-night closing and venue lock-up procedures, accurately balance and refloat tills, and secure cash and gaming areas.
- Data Entry & Reporting: Accurately enter daily venue figures, end-of-shift summaries, sales reports, and gaming reports into the DTS system for the General Manager.
- Management Support: Serve as the primary shift contact and communicate floor updates, incident reports, and shift outcomes directly to the General Manager.

What We’re Looking For

- Required Certifications: Current, valid NSW RSA, NSW RCG, and NSW ARCG (Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gambling) certifications.
- Experience: Proven supervisory or shift management experience within a pub, tavern, or gaming venue preffered.
- Financial Accuracy: Solid proficiency in end-of-day till balancing, cash handling, and DTS data entry.
- Shift Flexibility: Reliability to work a rotating roster focused on mid-shifts, late closes, and weekends.
