Suzy’s is coming to Hillarys — and we’re looking for an experienced hospitality leader to join us from day one.
We’re looking for a confident, hands-on Casual Duty Manager to join our team at our brand-new restaurant.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, knows how to lead a team, and takes pride in delivering great service. You’ll be responsible for keeping each shift running smoothly, supporting your team and making sure our guests have an experience worth coming back for.
We’re after someone who can lead from the front, stay calm when things get busy and bring a little personality to the role.
About the Role
As Duty Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the smooth running of each shift, ensuring our team is supported and our standards are consistently maintained.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and motivating the team throughout service.
- Managing busy restaurant shifts and maintaining high service standards.
- Supporting and supervising front-of-house team members.
- Leading by example and stepping in wherever the team needs support.
- Ensuring guests receive warm, attentive and knowledgeable service.
- Managing customer concerns professionally and confidently.
- Monitoring service flow and ensuring the shift runs efficiently.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and venue presentation.
- Supporting opening and closing procedures.
- Assisting with team training and development.
- Working closely with the management team to achieve operational goals.
- Helping create a positive, energetic and supportive team culture.
What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Duty Manager,
Supervisor or Team Leader in a busy cafe, restaurant or hospitality venue.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proven experience leading a team and managing busy shifts.
- A confident and positive leadership style.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to remain calm, composed and solution-focused under pressure.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating great guest experiences.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.
- A hands-on approach and willingness to support the team wherever required.
- A current RSA or willingness to obtain one if required.
- A WA approved managers card
- Availability across weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
