About the role The Electrical Commissioning and Start Up Technician is responsible to deliver a high quality, consistent and competent service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures to support overall delivery of company goals and schedule. This role will be under general supervision to perform a variety of commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of various equipment.

Key responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with the site cardinal safety rules and with all safety aspects in the execution of work

- Ensure procedures and permits are followed safely

- Commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of MCC's, VSD's, Distribution Panels, Motors, Lighting and small power

- Inspect, test, adjust and commission equipment to satisfy appropriate governing standards

- Work within OEM guidelines

- Demonstrate high-quality fault-finding skills and the ability to troubleshoot autonomously

- Observe and supervise Vendor staff working on or near the facilities as required

- Carry out Cause and Effect Testing

- Attend system walkdowns

- Complete rectification works as required

About you





- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role

- Cert III in Electrical Craft and proven expertise

- EEHA Certification

- Current First Aid Certificate and LV Rescue

- Ideally have nationally accredited training in Working at Heights

- Current Full or Restricted Queensland Electrical Licence
