Position Details

This is a part time position for an experienced Education Support Teacher who will also undertake the role of Students with Disability and Inclusion Co-ordinator.

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate professional who is committed to supporting students with disabilities and additional learning needs. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with teachers, students, families and external agencies to promote inclusive educational practices and ensure all students are supported to achieve success.

Founded by the Presentation Sisters in 1908, St Thomas' Primary School is a vibrant, single-stream, co-educational primary school catering for 180 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. Selection Criteria

We are seeking aSelection Criteria: suitably qualified and enthusiastic teacher who:

- Authentically nurtures positive and respectful relationships with students, staff and families.
- Demonstrates experience supporting students with disabilities, neurodiverse learners and students with additional learning needs across a range of educational settings.




- Has experience co-ordinating or contributing to Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) processes, including evidence collection, documentation and moderation.
- Demonstrates experience developing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Student Adjustment Plans in collaboration with teachers, families and external specialists.
- Has experience providing targeted academic, behavioural and social-emotional support for students requiring additional adjustments.
- Demonstrates a sound understanding of disability legislation, inclusive education practices and reasonable adjustments within a school setting.
- Works collaboratively with classroom teachers to build capacity and implement evidence-based strategies that support student participation, engagement and achievement.
- Displays excellent organisational, communication and case-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
- Works professionally, cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a cohesive and dedicated team of educators and is focused on continual professional growth.

Qualifications Required

- Relevant four-year tertiary teaching qualification.
- Accreditation to Teach Religious Education Learning Area or willingness to work towards accreditation.
- Current Teacher Registration with TRBWA.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Qualifications and/or experience in Inclusive Education, Special Education or Learning Support would be highly regarded.
