About the role

Hero Engineering is seeking a conscientious Electrical & Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Perth, Western Australia. In this full-time role, you will have the chance to apply your knowledge and skills to deliver innovative electrical and control and safety system solutions for a range of exciting projects across the Oil and Gas and Minerals industries.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting with the design, development, and implementation of electrical, control and safety systems for a multitude of engineering projects in O&G;, Minerals, Complex Machinery, Autonomy and New Tech.

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of project deliverables

- Conducting site inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical and control/safety systems

- Providing technical support and troubleshooting to address any issues that may arise

- Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices

- Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and procedures

- Foundation in Functional Safety for Process and Machinery applications.

What we're looking for

- A graduate ready for progression to take on responsibility to deliver assigned projects in their own rite.

- Must have a degree in Electrical, Instrument, Chemical or Mechatronic Engineering
- An understanding of electrical and control system design principles, including PLC programming and SCADA systems

- IT/OT network knowledge an advantage





- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

- Effective communication and teamwork abilities

- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines

- Conscientious and Alert with an ability to learn
