We are seeking motivated applicants who are ready to commence a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician apprenticeship with our host employer based in Cairns. This is a great opportunity to start your career, you will be working on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), gaining exposure to modern electrical infrastructure, technology driven systems, and networking components with long-term career development opportunities.

We are looking for someone:

- Has a genuine interest in becoming a qualified electrician

- Is motivated, reliable, and ready to learn

- Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude

- Can follow instructions and work safely

- Has good attention to detail and problem solving skills

- Is comfortable working as part of a team

- Is comfortable working at heights

- Is willing to attend and successfully complete required training

- Has good computer and IT skills

- Has an interest in programming, technology and how systems operate

- Holds, or willing to obtain, a White Card

- Holds a current driver licence

- Has reliable transport to attend work and training





- Is committed to completing their electrical apprenticeship

- Ability to work day and night shifts (penalities apply)

- Comfortable working at heights and across multiple sites

- Willingness to travel to local deports and attend tafe

- Additional requirements

- Ability to provide two professional references

- Pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing

- Certificate II in Electrotechnology
