About the Role
This is a permanent, Brisbane-based position within a growing engineering function. You'll be responsible for HV substation primary plant design, working across transformers, switchgear, busbars and overall substation layout. Day to day, that includes fault level and related design calculations, preparing design documentation and technical specifications, and working alongside other engineering disciplines to deliver projects from concept through to construction.
You'll be part of a QLD engineering team that's actively growing, with the group's wider Australian operations giving genuine visibility into a robust pipeline of transmission and substation work.
Responsibilities
- HV substation primary plant design, working across transformers, switchgear, busbars and overall substation layout
- Fault level and related design calculations
- Preparing design documentation and technical specifications
- Working alongside other engineering disciplines to deliver projects from concept through to construction
Qualifications
- Electrical/Power Engineering degree
Required Skills
- Solid, hands-on HV substation design experience
- Working knowledge of DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, ETAP or similar design/study software
- Comfortable working across the full design lifecycle, not just one stage of it
