POWINS is a privately owned Australian electrical solutions provider serving the renewable energy, mining and heavy industry sectors. We design electrical, mechanical and automation solutions, and manufacture and assemble switchgear and switchroom products at our Brisbane and Perth facilities.

We are seeking a trade-qualified Electrical Tradesperson for our Wynnum manufacturing workshop. You will work on the assembly of switchgear cabinets, equipment, PLCs and components as part of our factory-based team.

Requirements of applicant

- A valid and current electrical trade qualification and a current valid drivers license
- Experience assembling switchgear cabinets, equipment, PLCs or related components
- The ability to read electrical schematics, equipment drawings, manuals and protected operating procedures
- Experience using hand tools, battery tools and power tools safely in a workplace
- The ability to identify safety risks and stop work when needed
- A proactive, self-motivated approach,



with the ability to follow direction from workshop leads
- A current forklift licence is desirable, but not essential

You will be expected to wear the company clothing and personal protective equipment provided for the role. Further role requirements can be discussed at interview.

Hours and pay The position is full time, with 38 ordinary paid hours per week. The usual schedule is Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, and Friday, 7:00 am–1:00 pm. Overtime may be requested from time to time.

The ordinary hourly rate is $45.00–$48.00, depending on the successful applicant’s skills. Based on 38 paid hours per week, this is approximately $88,920–$94,848 per year before overtime.

Location The POWINS facility is located in Wynnum Brisbane 4178.
