About the role
As an Electrical Tradesperson, you’ll provide day-to-day electrical services across Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District, based at Wollongong Hospital. Working as part of a trades team, you’ll maintain, repair and support electrical plant, equipment and installations across hospitals and health facilities, responding to maintenance priorities while minimising interruptions to services.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake routine and corrective maintenance across electrical plant and equipment.
- Complete repairs, new electrical installations and alterations to existing installations.
- Respond to emerging maintenance issues and help plan and prioritise works within required timeframes.
- Coordinate with other staff, departments and contractors to minimise interruptions and support the smooth operation of services.
- Ensure electrical work is completed in line with relevant policies, Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and legislative requirements.
- Assist with after-hours and emergency response and participate in the on-call roster as required.
While primarily based at Wollongong Hospital,
you may also undertake maintenance and repairs at other ISLHD facilities across the District.
