The Kingston venue operates throughout the week and caters to local customers with dine-in and takeaway services, including options for customers with special dietary requirements. n

nAbout the Rolen
nWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe / Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Kingston café. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating staff, maintaining service and food standards, managing stock and suppliers, and ensuring customers receive a consistently positive dining experience.n
n
nKey Responsibilities include but not limited to:n
n•Oversee the daily operations of the café, including front-of-house and kitchen coordination. n
n•Work with the kitchen team to maintain menu quality, presentation, and appropriate portion standards. n
n•Coordinate purchasing, stock levels, supplier orders, and pricing in line with business requirements. n
n•Monitor daily sales, expenses, stock records,



and other operational transactions. n
n•Recruit, train, supervise, and roster café staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient service. n
n•Maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented dining and work environment in accordance with food safety and workplace requirements. n
n•Monitor customer feedback and resolve service concerns professionally to maintain high customer satisfaction. n
n•Assist with functions, bookings, reservations, and special dining requirements where required. n
n•Support the business in maintaining efficient service, controlling costs, and achieving operational targets. n
n
nQualifications:n
n•Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field is highly desirable.n
n•Minimum 1 year experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality management role. n
n
nSkills & Other Requirements:n
n•Solid knowledge of food service and café operations. n
n•Experience supervising and coordinating hospitality staff. n
n•Good understanding of stock control, purchasing, and cost management. n
n•Strong customer service and communication skills. n
n•Ability to manage a busy service environment and resolve issues effectively. n
n•Food safety knowledge and relevant hospitality certifications are desirable. n
n
