About this
prospect:
ICC Sydney are looking for a Casual Electrician, to assist the
Assets and Trades Team in supporting a variety of events, as well as conducting
both preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of plant and equipment
throughout our world class building.
Responsibilities of the role include, but are
not limited to:
- Performing timely and safe electrical installations to support event operations.
- Reactive & preventative maintenance activities on a wide variety of plant and equipment.
- Collaborating with other departments and clients of ICC Sydney, to assist with technical information and service delivery, as required.
Required Skills
& Experience:
- Hold a current NSW electrical licence.
- Relevant electrical trade qualification,
such as a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
- Demonstrated experience undertaking electrical installations, preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, ideally within a commercial, entertainment, hospitality or large-venue environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety requirements, relevant Australian Standards and safe work practices.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, identify faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and clients.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a quick-paced, event-driven environment.
- Willingness and availability to work across a flexible roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays when required.
- A proactive approach to safety, problem-solving and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
- You must be 18 years or over.
Experience with
testing and tagging, commercial kitchen equipment, elevated work platforms,
building-management systems or computerised maintenance-management systems
would be highly regarded.
