The Role
We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft System Administrator to support a major PeopleSoft upgrade program, transitioning from PeopleSoft 8.59 to 8.62.
This role will be responsible for the planning, administration, configuration, and ongoing support of the PeopleSoft environment throughout the upgrade lifecycle. You will play a critical role in ensuring system availability, performance, security, and stability as the organisation progresses through assessment, implementation, testing, production cutover, and post go-live support.
Working closely with infrastructure, database, network, cloud, and functional teams, you will help deliver a successful upgrade while maintaining operational continuity and adherence to governance and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities

- Participate in upgrade planning, scope definition, impact assessments, and implementation activities for the PeopleSoft 8.59 to 8.62 upgrade.
- Review existing PeopleSoft architecture, integrations, customisations,



and infrastructure readiness to identify risks and dependencies.
- Build, configure, and support Development, Test, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain PeopleSoft tools, application servers, web servers, middleware, and supporting infrastructure.
- Develop and execute backup, restore, recovery, and rollback strategies to support upgrade activities and minimise operational risk.
- Manage PeopleSoft security, including user profiles, permissions, roles, and access controls.
- Monitor and optimise system performance during upgrade execution, testing cycles, and production deployment.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, database, networking, and cloud teams to ensure upgrade activities remain aligned with project schedules and change management requirements.
- Support system, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities, resolving environment and system-related issues.
- Execute production cutover activities and provide post go-live monitoring and stabilisation support.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and upgrade-related artefacts.

What You'll Need

- Demonstrated experience as a PeopleSoft System Administrator within complex enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience delivering or supporting PeopleSoft upgrades,



preferably from version 8.5x to 8.6x.
- Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft tools, application servers, web servers, and middleware technologies, including Oracle WebLogic.
- Experience administering database platforms commonly used with PeopleSoft, including Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Solid Linux/Unix and/or Windows Server administration experience.
- Strong understanding of backup, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery practices.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across infrastructure and application layers.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical documentation capabilities.

Desirable Skills

- Experience supporting enterprise ERP environments and large-scale upgrade programs.
- Exposure to cloud-hosted or hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, change management, and release management practices.
- Experience supporting or administering related enterprise platforms such as Hardcat and Ricoh Medius.
- Understanding of security, audit, and compliance requirements within regulated environments.
