St John of God Murdoch Hospital is one of the leading private health campuses in Western Australia, and major health care hub in the southern region. Offering 507-beds, services include an emergency department, operating theatres, endoscopy suites, birth suite and maternity ward, medical library and education centre.

Our oncology service supports patients physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing, including their surgical and medical needs. Our dedicated Thomas Furlong cancer ward, Day Cancer Centre and GenesisCare radiation oncology facility, bring together clinicians from a wide range of areas for cancer treatment, including oncology, haematology and palliative care on site.

Your role at

As an Enrolled or Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for a high standard of patient care to our oncology patients on our Thomas Furlong Ward.

Thomas Furlong is an oncology/haematology and palliative care ward that cares for patients at all stages from diagnosis, to complex treatment and acute admissions as well as end of life.

You will join a dedicated multidisciplinary team providing compassion care and expertise.

The Position

- Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
- Promote and contribute to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.
- - Provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate.
- Support and supervise staff and students as required, including orientating and precepting staff.
- Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.





You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills. To succeed you will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development. Nurses with minimum 2 years clinical and chemotherapy administration is preferred with Antineoplastic Drug and Administration Course completed.

We can offer

- Enrolled Nurse Salary: $72,637 to $94,929 (pro rata for part-time), plus 12% superannuation
- Enrolled Nurse Casual Rate: $45.80 to $59.85 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation
- Registered Nurse Salary: $82,945 to $106,630 (pro rata for part-time) plus 12% superannuation
- Registered Nurse Casual Rate: $52.30 to $67.24 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation
- Permant full-time, part-time and Casual positions
- Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of perks such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment,



holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
