Everyone is hiring right now, but why us? Rush Escape Game is seeking to add fresh new faces to its team as we head into our 11th year of operating in Melbourne. We want 2026 to be a year of growth and fun for us and our team. We are looking for people with an appetite for pushing the boundaries of what it means to entertain and escape.

We are hiring across all four venues, with the option to train into our Hawthorn, South Yarra, Chadstone/Oakleigh and St Kilda venues. Our ideal candidates will be able to be rostered across minimum two venues.

Game Masters - Part-Time/Casual The Game Master has a great work ethic and high standards. You will be passionate about our games by creating an exciting and memorable live escape game experience for our players that is unlike any other. You are quality-focused and enjoy being in direct contact with customers.

You are a bit of a storyteller and an entertainer while being approachable with an easy-going (flexible) personality. You are also a creative problem solver and can make decisions on time while being cool under pressure or when dealing with ambiguity.

Key Responsibilities of a Game Master

- Works closely with management towards the goal of amazing players to the point where they become active promoters of our games.

- Theatrically entertain customers.

- Effectively prioritise daily room activities.

- Monitor and manage bookings.

- Prepare and maintain the game rooms to detailed standards between bookings.

- Debrief teams/players about the rules of the game prior to playing.

- Responds to inquiries from our customers via phone, email or social media.

- Assist management in business development

General Company Skills or Equivalent

- Excellent communication, facilitation, and entertaining skills are essential to delivering a memorable player experience.

- Problem-solving and attention to detail are essential.

- Strong prioritisation and organisational skills.

- Team leader experience is an advantage.

- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, Google Apps for Work, and Facebook applications.

- Interest in adventure games or puzzles is an advantage

- Desire to grow with the company.

Hours: Part-Timer Game Master shifts cover 9:00 am - 11:15 pm, 7 days a week. We are currently looking for candidates predominately available to work 5:30pm till late on weekdays and all day availability on weekends. Ideal candidates will be highly available across a 7-day rotating roster.

This role would highly suit creative young students or professionals seeking long-term casual/part-time commitment within an exciting company with future growth potential. Part-Time contracted hours will vary depending on candidates availability.
