With continued growth across our workshop and site operations, we are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team.

The Role

We are seeking a capable and commercially minded Estimator to support our growing pipeline of fabrication, maintenance, and site-based projects.

The role will involve reviewing scopes of work, drawings and specifications, preparing accurate estimates and quotations, and working closely with management and operational teams to develop practical and competitive submissions.

This position will suit someone with a strong understanding of fabrication and industrial works who can accurately assess labour, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Reviewing tender documents, scopes of work, drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
- Preparing detailed estimates, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Completing material take-offs and determining labour, plant, equipment, and subcontractor requirements.
- Obtaining and reviewing supplier and subcontractor pricing.
- Developing pricing based on project methodology, productivity, and resource requirements.
- Identifying commercial, technical, and delivery risks during the estimating process.
- Attending site inspections and tender meetings where required.
- Liaising with clients to clarify scopes, specifications, and project requirements.
- Working closely with management, workshop, site, and project personnel to develop practical estimates.
- Maintaining accurate estimating records, pricing information, and supporting documentation.




- Assisting with handover of successful tenders to operational and project teams.
- Supporting variations and additional work pricing on existing projects where required.

About You

- Previous estimating experience within fabrication, engineering, construction, maintenance, or heavy industry.
- Strong understanding of structural steel, welding, fabrication, and/or industrial site works.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Sound understanding of labour, material, plant, and subcontractor costing.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident communicating with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, tradespeople, and management.
- Strong computer skills and confidence working with estimating, spreadsheet, and business systems.
- Trade, engineering, estimating, or other relevant industry background highly regarded.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
