Your new opportunity
Two Executive Director opportunities have become available within the Energy and Government Owned Corporations (GOC) Group. These leadership roles offer the chance to influence major policy, economic and infrastructure outcomes that impact Queensland communities and businesses.
Working closely with Ministers, senior executives and industry leaders, you will provide strategic advice on complex policy, commercial and governance matters, lead significant reform initiatives, and drive outcomes across the energy, financial institutions, transport, water, ports and related infrastructure sectors.
In This Role, You Will
Shape Government Priorities: Lead complex policy, reform and advisory initiatives that influence Government decision-making and deliver lasting public value for Queensland.
Drive Economic and Portfolio Outcomes: Steer major reforms, investments and strategic programs across key sectors, providing expert advice that strengthens economic performance, sustainability and service delivery.
Influence and Partner: Build trusted relationships across government, industry and the community, leveraging influence and negotiation to achieve strategic outcomes in complex environments.
Lead People and Performance: Inspire high-performing teams, foster an inclusive and accountable culture,
and provide strategic leadership that drives organisational excellence.
What Experience You Will Bring
Strategic policy, commercial and sector expertise: extensive experience in energy, infrastructure, transport, water, financial services, government-owned corporations or related sectors will be highly regarded.
Executive leadership and organisational impact: a strong record of success leading within large and complex organisations and building capable, high performing teams. Proven ability to develop organisational capability, mobilise talent and deliver exceptional results in agile environments.
Stakeholder engagement and influence: significant experience across the public, private and/or not-for-profit sectors, with the political acumen to manage highly complex stakeholder relationships.
Future-focused leadership: a proven track record as an agent of change who can lead reform and deliver outcomes in complex operating environments.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
