Facility Maintenance Coordinator
We're seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Coordinator to join a well-established government organisation on a permanent basis, taking ownership of building maintenance and contractor management across a large facility portfolio.
This is a great opportunity for a experienced Coordinator with strong contractor management and leadership experience to lead a busy maintenance function within a stable, flexible working environment.

· On-site five days per week THE ROLE
Reporting into senior leadership, you will coordinate the facility maintenance team and manage the organisation's outsourced contracting panels, ensuring reactive and renewal building works are delivered on time, to service levels, and at minimal whole-of-life cost.
Key responsibilities include
· Coordinate and manage the facility maintenance team to ensure reactive and renewal building maintenance and minor works are actioned in a timely manner.
· Manage the organisation's three major Facility Maintenance panel contracts – general building, electrical, and plumbing – including scope development, procurement, and contract management.
· Develop, apply, and review KPIs across each contracting arm to ensure consistent performance.
· Develop, review, and analyse annual building maintenance budgets, monitoring and reporting on expenditure.
· Lead the planning and review of the Facility Maintenance Renewal Programme.
· Oversee building inspection programs to inform the annual maintenance program.
· Mentor and coach a team of eight, supporting performance, development, and workforce planning.
· Authorise and manage Permits to Work for high-risk activities in line with WHS requirements.
· Maintain the organisation's Asbestos Management Plan and register, along with key facility registers.
· Maintain an appropriate after-hours service for emergency repairs, including on-call support as required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· Proven experience coordinating or managing a facility/building maintenance function.
· Robust experience managing outsourced contractors across building, electrical, and/or plumbing trades.
· Experience managing high-volume assets and navigating operational issues as they arise.
· Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to articulate direction and manage a team effectively.
· Experience mentoring and coaching a team, ideally at a similar scale (8+ direct reports).
· Sound understanding of WHS, Permits to Work, and asbestos management compliance.
· Strong budgeting, contract management, and reporting skills.
