About the Role
Active Steel is seeking reliable Factory Hands/Labourers to join our busy Queensland steel-processing facility.
This is an entry-level opportunity, and previous factory or steel-industry experience is not required. Full training will be provided. We are looking for people with a positive attitude who are reliable, alert, safety-conscious and willing to assist wherever required.
Key Responsibilities
- Tying, tagging and preparing steel bundles
- Assisting with the movement and storage of bundles
- Sorting steel, machine accessories and reusable offcuts
- Supporting machine operators and production employees
- Preparing completed work for loading and delivery
- Keeping production and storage areas clean and organised
- Assisting with general yard and factory tasks
- Following all safety procedures and supervisor instructions
About You To be successful in this role, we require a motivated and safety-focused individual with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Be reliable, punctual and willing to work
- Remain alert and aware in a high-risk, fast-moving environment
- Follow instructions and protected-working procedures
- Be willing to learn and undertake training
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Show initiative and assist with tasks without needing constant direction
- Be comfortable performing physical and manual work
- Communicate respectfully and professionally
Previous factory experience would be beneficial but not essential.
