Shifts Available
- Tuesday 1:30pm – 3:30pm
- Thursday 6:45pm – 9:45pm
- Friday 8am – 12 pm
- Weekend shifts on occasion to support church or social event participation
Walk beside a remarkable young woman and help her turn everyday moments into confidence, independence and a future filled with possibility. We are seeking a positive and encouraging support worker to assist a bright young woman as she builds confidence, develops current skills and takes meaningful steps towards greater independence. She is motivated to embrace young adulthood and would benefit from a supportive mentor who can offer practical guidance while empowering her to make her own choices and achieve her goals.
Support will focus on building everyday independence, including learning to use public transport, exploring employment opportunities, strengthening confidence with household tasks and learning how to plan her time. The role also includes enjoyable social activities and spending quality time together. She lives with her supportive family, enjoys cooking and loves spending time with her dogs.
She is enthusiastic, goal-focused and ready to work alongside someone who will celebrate her progress and encourage her success.
Our client is looking for a reliable, committed and experienced female support worker who can build a genuine rapport and provide consistent, person-centred support.
The ideal candidate will bring a mature outlook, a warm and encouraging approach, and a genuine interest in mentoring a young adult throughout her independence journey. As her Christian faith is important to her, she would value a support worker who is comfortable engaging in respectful conversations about Christianity.
To be successful you must…
- Have experience in the disability field, mental health experience is highly desirable
- Resonate with the role description above
- Be a decent, caring and compassionate human who wants to help our nation's most vulnerable
- Have awesome multitasking, prioritising skills with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
- Hold a NDIS Worker Screening Card and Working with Children Blue Card
- Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
- Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
Your key responsibilities & accountabilities…
- To deliver high-quality support to our clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
- Communicate effectively and collaborate for our clients' needs with our clients, team & Support Specialist
- Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our clients' needs
- Provide support to our clients as required
- To support our clients to achieve their NDIS Goals
- Have good rapport building skills and a gentle,
encouraging manner
- Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our clients
- Be reliable, flexible and responsive to fill shifts when required
