Field IT Technician (Casual with Pathway to Full-Time)

Work Area: Brisbane, Gold Coast and surrounding South East Queensland regions

Pay Rate: $34.00 - $42.00 per hour (depending on experience and suitability)

About Us

We are an established Australian IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and technology services company with operations across Australia. As our Queensland project pipeline continues to grow, we are looking to establish a stronger local presence and are seeking a reliable and motivated Field IT Technician to join our team.

This position will commence as an ongoing casual role, however our goal is to continue growing our Queensland operations and create a permanent full-time position for the right person. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of that journey and help us build something from the ground up.

About the Role

Based from our Yarrabilba facility, you'll work across a variety of customer sites throughout Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounding areas, providing hands-on technical and logistics support.

Responsibilities may include:

- Installation and deinstallation of IT equipment and printers
- Equipment testing, troubleshooting and quality assurance
- IT asset audits and reporting
- Collection, transportation and manifesting of used IT equipment
- Printer relocations and deployment projects
- Assisting with ITAD processing activities
- Site documentation and customer reporting
- General project and field support duties

We have several significant projects secured over the coming months, including large-scale printer installation, deinstallation and relocation works. These projects are expected to provide consistent full-day work during peak periods before and after Christmas, with additional opportunities expected as our Queensland operations continue to expand. - Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Physically capable of lifting and moving IT equipment
- Organised and detail-oriented
- Keen to learn and take on current challenges
- Motivated to help build and grow our Queensland presence

Essential Requirements

- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and technology
- Basic networking knowledge
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively

Desirable Experience

- IT support or field technician experience
- Printer or multifunction device installation experience
- IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) experience
- Asset management or auditing experience
- Warehouse and logistics experience
- Experience driving trucks or vehicles fitted with tail lifts
- Current Police Check or willingness to obtain one
