Normet is currently seeking to hire experienced Field Service Technicians for a Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) role. We're especially keen to connect with experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics, as well as candidates who bring dual expertise as Heavy Diesel Mechanic and Auto Electrician.

FIFO from Perth on an 8:6 roster working 12 hours shifts with the flexibility to work a 2:2 roster on occasions, with a flat hourly rate of $85.00 per hour plus superannuation paid on all hours worked.

In this role, you’ll carry out on-site work, initially working across Western Australia and throughout Australia and internationally, providing electrical and technical service, maintenance, and repairs on Normet and client underground machinery.

International travel assignments may initially be to New Zealand and Papua New Guinea (PNG), with further destinations anticipated as business needs evolve.

About you

- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience,



along with Certificate III in Mechanical, Electrical, or a dual trade qualification
- Prior experience in underground or surface mining is essential
- Previous experience with Normet equipment will be highly regarded
- Solid experience in modification and repairs of heavy mobile equipment
- Strong mechanical / electrical knowledge, experience, and aptitude
- Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics
- High level of problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Experience with can-bus systems is highly desirable
- Must hold a current Australian Driver’s license
- You will have full working rights in Australia, please note visa sponsorship is not on offer at this time.
- You will have the ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and obtain a National Police Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct on-site commissioning, servicing and repairs of Normet’s and Clients underground machines across Australia and internationally on a FIFO roster arrangement.
- Create strong working relationships with sub-contractors/ customers onsite and provide high level technical advice where necessary.




- Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation is completed on time and in full.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and to a high level of quality acceptable to both Normet and customer standards.
