About the role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Manager will take ownership of the day-to-day finance and accounting function across Cointree and associated group entities. This is a broad and hands-on role combining traditional accounting and financial management with exposure to digital assets, financial services, regulatory reporting and strategic business initiatives. You'll be responsible for core accounting, reconciliations, payroll, cash flow and management reporting, while also supporting budgeting, forecasting, board reporting and strategic decision-making.

As Cointree continues to develop within Australia's regulated financial services environment, you will also support financial reporting and compliance requirements associated with the AFSL, working closely with the CEO, Compliance team, Responsible Managers, auditors and external advisors. On any given day, you may move between completing a reconciliation, reviewing liquidity requirements, preparing a management report, working through a forecast or providing financial analysis to the CEO.

Key responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and account reconciliations.

- Manage cryptocurrency and digital asset reconciliations and support operational liquidity management.

- Manage payroll, superannuation and employee-related payments.

- Coordinate statutory obligations including BAS, GST and tax lodgements in conjunction with external advisors.

- Manage banking, payments and cash-flow reporting.

- Prepare monthly management reports, financial statements and board reporting packs.

- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial models.

- Support the CEO with financial analysis, scenario planning and strategic decision-making.

- Maintain accurate intercompany accounts,



loan records and group-level reconciliations.

- Support financial reporting and compliance requirements associated with Cointree's AFSL.

About you

- Approximately 4–7 years' relevant accounting or finance experience.

- Degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.

- CA or CPA qualification, or progress towards qualification, highly regarded.

- Strong technical accounting knowledge and an understanding of Australian statutory requirements.

- Experience across month-end reporting, reconciliations, payroll, AP/AR, cash flow and management reporting.

- Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.

- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Xero and cloud-based finance systems.

- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of deadlines and deliverables.

- Confidence communicating financial information to senior stakeholders.

- A practical and proactive approach, with a willingness to work across both transactional and strategic finance activities.
