About the role

Oakdale Group is seeking an experienced Foreman/Supervisor for Formwork Construction to join our dynamic team in Sydney, NSW. This is a full-time position based on-site, where you will take a leadership role in overseeing formwork construction operations and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for coordinating teams, managing resources, and maintaining quality control across all formwork activities on site.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate formwork construction teams, ensuring all personnel work safely and efficiently on site

- Plan and schedule formwork operations, including material ordering, equipment allocation and crew assignments
- Conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox talks, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies
- Inspect formwork installations, structural integrity and finishing standards to ensure compliance with design specifications and building codes
- Monitor project progress and report on timelines, budgets and resource allocation to senior management
- Liaise with architects, engineers, clients and other trades to coordinate work schedules and resolve site issues
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheets, incident documentation and quality assurance logs
- Train and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Manage site safety equipment and ensure all formwork systems meet Australian construction standards





What we're looking for Minimum 5+ years' experience in formwork construction supervision or a similar foreman role within the construction industry

- Proven track record of successfully managing formwork teams and complex construction projects
- Strong knowledge of formwork systems, materials, techniques and Australian construction standards and building codes
- Current Construction Induction Card (White Card) and relevant construction safety certifications
- Competency in site-specific safety management, including risk assessment and hazard identification
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with construction management software or project planning tools
- Demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) compliance and best practice
- Physical fitness and ability to work on-site in various weather conditions
- Willingness to hold or obtain relevant licences or qualifications such as Formwork Supervisor certification or Confined Space Rescue certification where required
