About the role

Holistic Governance is hiring a Full Stack Developer on a adaptable contract to help build HG Intel, our healthcare governance intelligence platform launching in 2027. The first version is built and needs a second pair of experienced hands alongside the founder. We keep product detail off public listings on purpose. Once we are in conversation you will see the codebase, the roadmap and the decisions behind them.

At a glance

- Contract, remote anywhere in Australia
- Flexible: 1 to 4 days a week
- Initial 1 to 3 months, with potential to continue on an ongoing basis
- A$80 to A$120 per hour, depending on experience
- Start as soon as possible
- For the right person, a pathway to an equity stake in HG Intel, agreed after an initial period working together and offered in addition to the hourly rate

What you would work on A production TypeScript codebase: a Next.js web application and API backed by PostgreSQL on Google Cloud, with LLM-assisted features that are tested and evaluated rather than trusted. The work ahead is hardening what exists, building customer-facing features, and building agentic workflows where every agent output passes a verification step before it is used.

The stack

TypeScript and Node.js. Next.js (App Router), React, Tailwind CSS. PostgreSQL with Prisma. LLM APIs and agentic workflows, with automated evaluation of model output. Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Cloud SQL). Docker, GitHub Actions, Vitest.

Must have





- You have shipped and supported a production Next.js or Node.js application.
- You are confident in TypeScript and comfortable in PostgreSQL, including schema changes and migrations.
- You write tests as a matter of course and are happy in a codebase where no change ships without one.
- You can work independently from a written plan, ask when something is unclear, and say so when you do not know.
- You hold an ABN and can invoice as a contractor.

Nice to have

- Agentic workflows in production: tool use, multi-step agents, and verification steps that check what an agent produced before it is used.
- Prisma, and experience with multi-tenant SaaS.
- LLM APIs in production, and experience evaluating model output rather than trusting it.
- Google Cloud, or another cloud with containers and managed Postgres.
- Health, aged care or another regulated sector.

Test-first, small slices. We document the why (we are fans of Architecture Decision Records). AI-assisted, human-reviewed: the founder builds with Claude Code, and you will too. Accuracy over speed: this is a compliance product, and nothing is fabricated.
