We are an equal opportunity employer and embrace diversity in the workplace. Our values are Integrity, Innovation, Collaboration and Respect.

About the role

This is a hands-on opportunity to maintain and optimise established individual giving, appeal, giving day, and community fundraising activity across SecondBite | FareShare—while stepping into management and using current technology, platforms, automation and responsible AI to strengthen campaign reach, relevance and results.

You will play an important role in growing sustainable fundraising income and strengthening long-term relationships with supporters across both brands.

You will keep a busy annual program on track: you will coordinate delivery, manage income and expenditure targets, maintain strong data integrity, monitor performance and make practical improvements. You will also identify where current platforms, automation and responsible AI can save time, sharpen supporter journeys and help campaigns perform harder without requiring a large spend.

What you’ll be responsible for

Grow and optimise fundraising income

Lead and optimise fundraising programs across individual giving, appeals, Giving Days,

mid-value donors and community fundraising.

- Deliver engaging campaigns that grow supporter acquisition, retention and income.
- Manage four annual appeals and two Giving Days, including eDMs, paid social and campaign landing pages.
- Develop supporter stewardship strategies that strengthen long-term donor relationships.
- Use data, insights and campaign performance to identify opportunities and improve results.
- Make effective use of Salesforce, fundraising, email marketing and digital platforms, including responsible use of automation and AI.

Lead and support the team

- Manage and support direct reports to deliver fundraising activities and achieve agreed objectives.
- Provide coaching, guidance and development while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver fundraising outcomes.

Manage budgets and performance

- Manage fundraising income and expenditure against agreed budgets and targets.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and taking action where required.

You could be exactly who we are looking for

Perhaps you are a Senior Fundraising Officer, Individual Giving Specialist or Campaigns Lead ready to supervise others while staying hands-on. You are practical, digitally curious and know how to maintain campaign momentum,

spot incremental improvements and use technology thoughtfully—without losing the authentic human connection that earns supporter trust. Hands-on experience maintaining and optimising individual giving or donor fundraising programs, ideally in a purpose-led or not-for-profit environment.

Evidence that your integrated or digital campaigns delivered measurable income, acquisition, retention or engagement results within realistic budgets.

Confidence using CRM, email marketing, fundraising, social and creative platforms; Salesforce, Ortto or Braze, Canva, Raisely/ Fundraisin experience is highly regarded.

Curiosity and sound judgement in using automation and AI responsibly to improve efficiency, personalisation, testing and insight, while protecting donor privacy and trust.

Experience guiding colleagues, coordinating cross-functional delivery or leading projects, with genuine appetite to grow as a people manager.

SecondBite rescues and redistributes quality food. FareShare transforms rescued and donated ingredients into nutritious meals. Together, we care for people and planet. You will see how disciplined, creative fundraising powers that work—and enjoy benefits including salary packaging, employee discounts, volunteering days and hybrid working.

Ready to lead what comes next?

Apply with your résumé and a short cover letter telling us about a campaign you improved through smart use of data, technology, testing or AI, and why this is the right management step for you.
