About the Role:
n
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Blaster/Painters with a strong background in Production to join our team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be a part team of tradespeople to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes.

What you will be required to do:
n
n
- Prepare, clean, and strip metal surfaces through abrasive blasting
n
- Operate blasting equipment to remove rust, paint, and other contaminants for optimal coating adhesion
n
- Operate and maintain abrasive blasting equipment
n
- Mix and match paints and coatings according to specifications
n
- Apply industrial coatings using airless and conventional spray equipment, rollers, and brushes
n
- Inspect surfaces for defects and ensure a smooth,
even finish
n
- Operate and maintain painting equipment safely
n
- Follow workplace safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and ventilation
n
n
To be successful in the role you will have (or willingness to obtain):
n
n
- Previous experience in industrial painting or a similar role
n
- Knowledge of different painting techniques, coatings, and equipment
n
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions, including heights and confined spaces
n
- Ability to set up, use and maintain abrasive blast and spray equipment
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience in painting and blasting, ideally within the structural steel or heavy equipment industry.
n
- Solid knowledge of surface preparation and coating techniques, including abrasive blasting and industrial-grade paint application.
n
- Solid understanding of painting materials, blasting processes, and surface treatment methods.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.
n
- Demonstrated experience in airless and conventional spray painting
n
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening
n
