South32 GEMCO is seeking experienced and safety-focused Single Skilled Operators to join our mining operations team at Groote Eylandt. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established operation, contributing to efficient and protected haulage activities.
About the Role
As a Haul Truck Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of haul trucks to transport material across site. You will play a key role in maintaining production targets while upholding high safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate haul trucks in accordance with site procedures and safety standards
Conduct pre-start inspections and basic equipment checks
Maintain awareness of site hazards and traffic management plans
Work collaboratively with production teams to meet daily targets
Report defects, incidents, and hazards in a timely manner
About You
Proven experience operating haul trucks (CAT777, CAT785) in a mining environment
Current Drivers Licence (essential)
Strong commitment to safety and compliance
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work
