A well-established Queensland property development group is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join its Brisbane CBD corporate office.
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you’ll work within a close two-person payroll team and process end-to-end payroll across multiple entities and varied pay cycles.
Please note: this role is fully office-based Monday to Friday, with no WFH arrangement currently available. Standard hours are 8:30am–5:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly end-to-end payrolls
- Manage PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and employee deductions
- Process leave, terminations and workers’ compensation payments
- Complete payroll, commission and General Ledger reconciliations
- Maintain accurate employee records and payroll system data
- Respond to payroll queries and investigate discrepancies
- Support statutory reporting, audits and process improvements
To be considered,
you will require:
- A minimum of two years’ payroll experience
- Previous hands-on end-to-end payroll experience
- Knowledge of Modern Awards, National Employment Standards and payroll legislation
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Strong numerical accuracy and payroll reconciliation experience
Experience with HR3, broader finance functions or the real estate/property industry would be advantageous. A Certificate III or IV in Payroll Administration or Business would also be highly regarded.
