We are growing our business and looking for new talent to join our team. You will be joining a supportive team of approximately fifteen staff. We are passionate about our work, always learning and exploring new ideas, while delivering quality outcomes to our government and private sector clients.

ABOUT THE JOB The role is within our integrated design team, which includes engineers, landscape architects and environmental scientists. Typical projects include green infrastructure, WSUD, waterway restoration, active transport, and civil design for public open space, including design of associated infrastructure.

As a graduate engineer you would be working under our design leaders and project managers, while you develop your design and project management skills.

The primary responsibilities as a Graduate Engineer include:

- Engineering analysis, modelling, developing designs, preparation of drawings, specifications and reports, field/site inspections.
- Working as part of a dedicated and collaborative office-based team to deliver a variety of design projects from initial conception through to final detailing.
- Working towards project management responsibilities including liaison with the client and other consultants, subcontractor management, preparing proposals and invoicing.




- Maintaining an industry awareness and working towards becoming a chartered professional engineer.

The position is an office-based role. Note that the salary for this role will be dependent on experience and commensurate with market rates.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a talented graduate engineer to join our team, who is motivated to learn and who shares our passion for excellent urban and environmental design. This role requires a person who is ready to work across boundaries, tackle a wide range of engineering design challenges, and build skills in multiple areas, hence our requirement for graduates with first class honours. The role will enable the right candidate to develop skills in civil/structural/environmental design, depending on your skills and interests.

Candidates should demonstrate the following knowledge:

- Bachelor of engineering (preferably civil, structural, or environmental) with first class honours. We encourage university medallists to apply.
- Interest in blue-green infrastructure, creative and high-quality urban design.

Candidates should demonstrate the following skills:

- Strong analytical skills.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using AutoCAD/Civil3D would be highly regarded.

Candidates should demonstrate the following abilities:

- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and stakeholders
- Aptitude for learning new tools and methods including software for design and analysis.
- Attention to detail required for technical analysis, modelling, and production of design drawings and other documentation.
- Organised, able to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well under pressure and be self-motivated.
