As Granting Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping impactful grant partnerships and ensuring funding delivers meaningful, long-term community outcomes.

Reporting to the National Manager, Social Impact, and working closely with the William Buckland Foundation Lead, you will support evidence-informed grantmaking, build trusted relationships across the not-for-profit sector, and help advance the Foundation's strategic ambitions through a focus on partnership, impact and continuous learning.

This is an opportunity to work closely with community organisations, sector leaders, colleagues and Trustees while contributing to initiatives that strengthen Victorian communities and create lasting social impact.

About the Role

- Manage grant partnerships across the entire grantmaking lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with community organisations and sector stakeholders across Victoria, particularly within the Hume and Western Metro regions.
- Support the assessment, implementation and monitoring of grant-funded initiatives.
- Contribute to impact measurement, reporting, storytelling and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Identify emerging community needs, sector trends and funding opportunities to inform strategic grantmaking.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support effective funding decisions and community outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen the Foundation's impact and influence.
- Support the development of trusted partnerships with grant recipients and sector leaders.
- Assist with reporting and presentations for governance and stakeholder groups.
- Contribute to a culture of learning, innovation and continuous improvement.

What You Need

- Experience in philanthropy, grantmaking, community investment, evaluation, social impact or the for-purpose sector.




- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in complex environments and manage competing priorities.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with sound judgement and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative, proactive and curious approach to work.
- A genuine commitment to strengthening communities and achieving meaningful social outcomes.
- Capacity and willingness to travel regionally within Victoria approximately five times per year.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are highly regarded.
