About the role An experienced Group Accountant role taking ownership of the financial and accounting functions across CW's Western Australian and Victorian operations, reporting to the Director Finance. This is a part time, 24 hrs per week, permanent role suited to a hands-on accountant who enjoys a blend of management accounting, financial reporting and project-based commercial analysis. You will oversee a small, capable finance team.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare accurate, timely monthly financial reports (P&L;, balance sheet and cash flow) for the Director Finance

- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and financial data across the WA and Victorian operations

- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, tax obligations (GST, PAYG, payroll tax) and statutory reporting requirements

- Coordinate year-end financial close processes and liaise with external accountants and auditors

- Support the annual budgeting process and assist in maintaining rolling financial forecasts

- Conduct project-level financial health-checks

- Oversee the invoicing function across both states

- Monitor accounts receivable and debtor ageing

- Administer CW's core ERP system (Odoo), including user access and day-to-day issue resolution

- Identify and implement process improvements across the finance function

About you

- CPA or CA qualification, with a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance,



Commerce or a related discipline

- Minimum 5 years' progressive experience in a financial management or senior accounting role

- Experience within consulting, engineering or construction, with a sound understanding of project-based accounting (WIP, progress claims, cost-to-complete) will be highly regarded
- A strong track record in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting

- Proficiency with accounting and ERP software

- Experience overseeing small finance teams highly regarded
