HEAD CHEF – GEMELLINI | NOBBY BEACH

Great food. Great customers. Small venue. Strong team. Gemellini is looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen in the heart of Nobby Beach.

Part of the Gemelli Group, Gemellini is a busy neighbourhood Italian restaurant with a loyal local following. We’re a smaller venue with a great customer base, and we’re looking for someone who wants to take real ownership of their kitchen and their team.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position. You’ll be responsible for running the kitchen day to day while maintaining the quality, consistency and standards our customers expect. You will be responsible for:

- Leading, training and motivating the kitchen team
- Running smooth and organised services
- Managing ordering, stock control
- Managing food costs, wastage and labour
- Working to budgets and meeting agreed financial targets
- Rostering and managing kitchen labour effectively
- Maintaining consistency, portion control and presentation
- Maintaining food safety and kitchen compliance
- Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and senior management
- Creating a positive, skilled and accountable kitchen culture

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:




- An experienced Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up
- A great leader who knows how to get the best out of their team
- Experienced in Italian or Mediterranean cuisine
- Commercially minded and understands the numbers behind running a successful kitchen
- Confident with ordering, stock management, food costs and labour targets
- Organised, reliable and calm under pressure
- Hands-on and happy to be part of service
- Passionate about quality, consistency and hospitality
