Head of Consolidation, Planning & Process Improvement

The opportunity This is a highly visible leadership role that sits at the centre of strategic decision making across the business. You'll be responsible for leading enterprise planning, forecasting, management reporting and performance management activities, while partnering closely with executive leaders to provide commercial insights that drive better business outcomes. A key focus of the role is helping the organisation make informed investment and resource allocation decisions by linking cost, performance and value creation. Leveraging data, analytics and technology, you'll help evolve how Finance supports decision making, strengthen strategic expense management disciplines and uplift the quality of insights provided to senior stakeholders. You'll also lead and develop a team, creating a culture focused on growth, accountability and continuous improvement.

Your new role As Head of Consolidation, Planning & Process Improvement, you'll combine financial leadership, commercial acumen and strategic thinking to help shape business performance. Working closely with the CFO, Finance Leadership Team and executive stakeholders, you'll provide forward-looking insights that support enterprise priorities and enable confident decision making.
- Lead enterprise planning, forecasting, performance management and executive reporting across the AusPac business.
- Partner with executive leaders to deliver commercial insights that improve performance, profitability and resource allocation decisions.
- Drive strategic expense management by designing frameworks, metrics and performance measures that link investment decisions to business outcomes and value creation.
- Lead cost base planning, forecasting and analysis, helping leaders optimise resources and maximise returns on investment.
- Leverage data, analytics and technology to enhance reporting, forecasting and decision support capabilities across Finance.
- Drive simplification, automation and continuous improvement of planning, reporting and performance management processes.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team while building capability, succession pathways and a culture of continuous growth.
About You You're a commercially minded finance leader who can combine strong analytical capability with executive-level influence. You enjoy partnering with senior stakeholders, challenging thinking constructively and turning complex financial and operational data into meaningful business insights that support strategic decisions.
- Significant experience in Insurance, Banking or a similarly complex financial services environment.
- Strong background in financial planning, performance management, strategic finance, actuarial, commercial finance or cost management disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience managing large cost bases and developing strategic expense management frameworks.
- Proven ability to partner with executive leaders and communicate complex insights in a clear, concise and decision-oriented manner.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect financial outcomes, resource allocation decisions and strategic business objectives.
- Experience leveraging data and analytics to improve decision making, business performance and organisational outcomes.
- A genuine passion for people leadership, with a track record of developing talent, building capability and creating high-performing teams.
