This is an opportunity to help shape the future of payroll.

We are excited to create a new Senior Payroll Analyst role that will partner with our recently appointed Payroll Manager and play a key role in uplifting payroll capability across the organisation.
n
You will be supporting a workforce of more than 4,000 employees, acting as a trusted payroll subject matter expert, helping improve payroll accuracy, strengthening governance, optimising systems, reducing manual workarounds, and building greater confidence in payroll across the business.
n
This is a role where you will have influence, visibility, and the opportunity to shape both the role and the function.
n
About the Role:
n
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be the technical and analytical backbone of the payroll team.
n
You will have the scope to work across Payroll, People & Culture, Finance, Industrial Relations, Legal and Technology to identify opportunities, solve complex payroll challenges and ensure payroll continues to evolve as a trusted business function.
n
In this new role you will:
n
n
- Review payroll outcomes and identifying issues before payroll is finalised.
n
- Be our payroll systems SME, supporting optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Test payroll changes, system enhancements, and configuration updates.
n
- Provide guidance on payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
n
- Analyse payroll data to identify trends, risks,
and improvement opportunities.
n
- Support payroll governance, compliance activities, and audit readiness.
n
- Improve reporting, visibility and insights for Finance and business leaders.
n
- Reduce reliance on manual processes through better utilisation of payroll systems.
n
n

About You:
n
You are an experienced payroll qualified who knows how to get payroll right, but more importantly, understands how to make payroll better.
n
You enjoy identifying issues before they become problems, improving systems and processes, and working with stakeholders to deliver long-term solutions rather than short-term fixes and bring to the team:
n
n
- Considerable end-to-end payroll experience, ideally within a complex workforce environment.
n
- Experience working with awards, enterprise agreements, and payroll legislation.
n
- Proven payroll systems capability and systems thinking.
n
- Experience testing payroll outcomes and validating pay runs.
n
- A passion for analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
n
- Exposure to payroll governance, compliance, or audit activities.
n
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across functions.
n
- A genuine continuous improvement mindset.
n
n
Highly regarded:
n
n
- UKG Dimensions experience.
n
- Aurion experience.
n
- Healthcare, aged care, community services, or multi-award environments.
n
- Payroll remediation or payroll transformation experience.
n
- Excel, reporting or workforce analytics capability.
