Human Resources Officer A busy, hands‑on opportunity has opened for an HR Officer to join a fast‑paced People & Culture team supporting a diverse operational workforce. About the role

Working closely with the HR Business Partner, you’ll deliver consistent, compliant and proactive HR support across multiple sites. This role has a strong operational and recruitment focus — coordinating end‑to‑end hiring processes, supporting leaders with workforce needs, and ensuring a smooth experience for candidates and new starters.

You’ll also assist with day‑to‑day HR advice, support ER matters, help implement policies and keep people processes running efficiently across the employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

- Provide clear, practical advice to leaders and employees on HR policies, workplace matters and employment legislation
- Support recruitment activity including advertising, screening, coordinating interviews, reference checks and onboarding
- Assist leaders with performance management, conduct issues, grievances and investigations, ensuring accurate documentation
- Contribute to positive workplace culture and engagement initiatives
- Assist with policy development, review and implementation
- Support HR reporting,



workforce analytics and continuous improvement projects
- Deliver operational HR support across onboarding, probation, performance reviews and offboarding
- Provide insights from workforce data to support planning and decision‑making
- Assist with organisational changes, restructures and workforce management activities
- Help leaders understand labour cost drivers, industrial instruments and workforce expenditure

What you’ll bring

- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in a generalist HR or HR Officer role
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice
- Confident in employee relations with the ability to coach leaders through day‑to‑day matters
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build solid relationships across varied operational environments
- Highly organised, able to juggle competing priorities and work autonomously
- Professional, discreet and committed to maintaining confidentiality
- Experience in agribusiness or unionised environments is beneficial but not essential
