The Position
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Consultant to join the team in a full-time capacity.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with managers and employees, and providing practical HR solutions across the employee lifecycle.
You will play an important role in supporting the business as it grows, helping to develop and improve HR processes, policies and initiatives while providing trusted advice to employees and leaders across the organisation.
Working closely with management, you will have the opportunity to influence workplace culture, employee engagement and people practices across a growing national business.
You will take ownership of:
- Managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring a positive experience for new employees
- Providing practical HR advice and support to managers and employees across a broad range of employment matters
- Supporting employee relations, including grievances, workplace concerns, conflict resolution and performance matters
- Developing,
implementing and maintaining HR policies, procedures and employment documentation
- Supporting managers with performance management, employee development and performance improvement processes
- Identifying training and development needs and coordinating relevant initiatives
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Working closely with payroll to support accurate and timely payroll and employee administration
- Ensuring HR practices remain aligned with Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements and company policies
- Supporting workplace health, safety and employee wellbeing initiatives in partnership with the OHS function
- Developing initiatives to strengthen employee engagement, retention and workplace culture
- Supporting workforce planning, organisational development and succession planning as the business continues to expand
- Preparing HR reports and providing insights to management to support informed people decisions
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and practices across the business
About You
You are an experienced,
practical and approachable HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building solid relationships across an organisation.
You will ideally have 3–5 years' HR experience, with exposure to an industrial, engineering, manufacturing or similar environment highly regarded.
You are confident providing advice to managers and employees, comfortable handling sensitive and confidential matters, and have a strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and Fair Work requirements.
You will also bring
- Strong employee relations and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A practical and solutions-focused approach to HR
- Robust organisational and time management skills
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and performance management
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and workplace practices
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence using HR systems and Microsoft Office
- The ability to build credibility and relationships at all levels of the business
