About Our Client

Our client is a leading global Defence, aerospace and security organisation delivering advanced naval capability at Osborne Naval Shipyard in South Australia.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Hull Welder, you will join the shipbuilding production team, completing welding and fabrication activities in accordance with production requirements, engineering drawings and safety standards.

· Performing MIG and Flux Core welding on structural steel components

· Reading and interpreting fabrication and engineering drawings

· Undertaking production tasks as directed by Production Supervisors and Trade Trainers

· Attending and completing relevant on-the-job training and development

· Maintaining materials, tools and equipment to a high standard

· Working collaboratively with production teams to achieve project milestones

· Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the work area

· Following all site policies, procedures and safety requirements

What You Will Need

· Previous heavy structural experience





· Experience with MIG and/or Flux Core welding

· Ability to confidently read and interpret drawings

· Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills

· Solid time management and reliability

· CAD experience desirable

· Ability to work within a structured production environment

· Ability to pass a National Police Check

· Must be an Australian Citizen
