Company Description Transition Power is a specialist consultancy providing bid leadership, engineering and commercial expertise to developers, transmission network service providers, renewable energy zone bodies and EPC contractors across the National Electricity Market. Our Directors have led some of Australia's largest transmission and substation projects.

We are expanding our team with a senior engineer to provide dedicated design and technical leadership on client engagements.

Role Description

- Lead design management on client transmission line, substation, grid-connection and battery storage projects, from development and early contractor involvement through tender and delivery.
- Provide specialist technical advice and hold the engineering position for the client with designers, contractors, equipment manufacturers and network service providers.
- Support bid and development teams with the technical solution, quantities, design programme and technical risk.
- Perform independent design assurance and governance reviews.
- Work across one, two to four engagements at a time, each with its own client, standards and programme.

Qualifications

- a solid Technical Design skills and Design Management capabilities relevant to high-voltage systems and infrastructure.
- Bachelor of Engineering (electrical preferred), CPEng and NER,



and RPEQ or eligibility to register.
- Ten or more years on high-voltage transmission and substation projects between 66 kV and 500 kV, including five years as a design manager or technical lead.
- Background in an EPC contractor, a network service provider or an owner's engineer team, with design and construct, EPC or ECI project experience.
- Working knowledge of AS 2067, AS/NZS 7000, the National Electricity Rules connection process and at least one major network service provider's standards.
- Independent, practical judgement; plain communication at every level; comfortable managing several clients and travelling interstate.
