HVAC Technician – Sydney

Sydney - Eastern Suburbs & Penrith - Up to $58,000 + Super

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Technician to join a growing Facilities Management and Trades team, servicing commercial and retail sites across Sydney.

We are particularly interested in candidates based in or around the Eastern Suburbs, Western Sydney and Penrith who are looking for a stable chance with a strong facilities management business.

About the Role As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative, reactive and planned maintenance across heating, cooling, ventilation and refrigeration systems at client sites.

Your responsibilities will include

- Preventative and reactive maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
- Servicing and maintaining chillers, AHUs, FCUs and CRAC units
- Inspecting and maintaining refrigeration and chilled-water systems
- Carrying out routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Responding to maintenance requests and work orders
- Conducting building and plant inspections
- Assisting with larger maintenance projects and works
- Coordinating and monitoring subcontractors where required
- Completing work orders, risk assessments and required documentation
- Estimating labour, materials and time required for works
- Identifying opportunities to complete works more efficiently and cost-effectively
- Participating in an after-hours roster when required
- Supporting emergency response and incident management when required





About You We're looking for a qualified and experienced HVAC Technician who takes pride in their work and is comfortable working across commercial and retail environments.

You'll ideally have

- 3–5 years' experience in HVAC and Refrigeration
- Relevant Refrigeration / Mechanical HVAC trade qualification
- Experience working across commercial and/or retail facilities
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Experience with larger HVAC systems and chillers highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and manage a defined schedule
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Good understanding of WHS requirements
- Ability to complete maintenance documentation accurately and on time

Licences & Qualifications The following will be highly regarded/required:
- Relevant HVAC/Refrigeration trade qualification
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- White Card
- Police Check or ability to obtain
- First Aid Certificate
- EWP – under 11m
- Relevant HVAC/Refrigeration licences
