About the role:

As Industry Engagement Manager, you’ll be all about building connections, bringing people together and creating opportunities across the Gold Coast construction industry.

You will work closely with local businesses, industry partners, schools and community stakeholders to understand what’s happening in the industry and help connect people with the right training, skills and career opportunities. You will play an important role in growing local networks, supporting CSQ programs and helping find practical solutions to workforce needs across the region.

About you

You’re a confident, outgoing and highly personable relationship builder who enjoys getting out there, meeting people and making connections.

You’ll bring strong emotional and social intelligence, allowing you to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and influence positive outcomes. You will be comfortable facilitating a room of industry leaders, working with a training provider and connecting with schools and students.

Day-to-day you will enjoy:

- Building robust relationships with construction businesses, industry leaders and local stakeholders
- Growing and managing the Gold Coast subcontractor network
- Facilitating industry forums, presentations and networking opportunities
- Connecting schools, students and training providers with construction career pathways
- Using industry insights to identify workforce needs and support practical solutions across the region

You will have:

- A post-school qualification in a business or education related field with 4+ years’ experience in relationship management, business development, network building or stakeholder engagement




- Demonstrated knowledge of the building and construction industry and the vocational education and training (VET) sector
- Robust project management capability, including sound financial acumen
- High level of digital literacy and practical knowledge of information management systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of program management, ideally within workforce development, training or a related environment
- A collaborative approach, strong initiative and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- The ability to obtain a Blue Card (WWCC) and White Card (QLD)
