Industrial Maintenance Electrician – Full Time Permanent Position

We are currently looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our team in a full-time embedded position based in Banksmeadow, Sydney.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced industrial electrician looking for a stable, long-term role within a highly automated food manufacturing environment, working alongside an established site maintenance and operations team.
About the Opportunity
Working within a large-scale, continuously operating manufacturing facility, you'll play an important role in keeping the plant running safely and reliably.
The role is a mix of planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support, giving you plenty of hands-on work across production equipment and electrical systems.
You can expect:
- A hands-on role across planned maintenance and breakdowns
- A highly automated food manufacturing environment
- Exposure to automated processing and packaging equipment
- Electrical fault-finding across production machinery and plant equipment
- Working closely with the site's maintenance and operations teams
- 12-hour shifts with plenty of overtime opportunities
- The opportunity to become a valued, long-term part of the site team
The site operates around the clock, with extensive processing and packing operations and a range of automated, PLC-controlled and SCADA-supported systems.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a reliable, engaged and dependable Industrial Electrician who enjoys hands-on maintenance and is confident working independently in a busy manufacturing setting.
You will ideally have
- Current NSW Electrical Licence and Electrical Trade Qualification / Certificate III
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or food processing
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience with automated production and packaging equipment
- Knowledge of motors, sensors, control systems and industrial electrical equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Exposure to PLC, SCADA and HMI systems
- Ability to use SCADA screens to assist with locating and diagnosing breakdowns
- Robust planned and preventative maintenance experience
- Solid understanding of safety and isolation procedures
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
