Midas Healthcare is a growing specialist pharmacy business providing innovative pharmacy services across fertility and IVF, oncology, ophthalmology, weight management and compounding. We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Intern Pharmacist to join our expanding team and complete their internship in a supportive and professional environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an intern who is looking to develop their clinical knowledge, dispensing skills and confidence while gaining experience across a range of specialised areas of pharmacy.
Position Overview:
As an Intern Pharmacist, you will work closely with our experienced pharmacists and pharmacy team, developing the knowledge and practical skills required for pharmacist registration. Your role will be varied, providing exposure to both clinical and operational aspects of specialist pharmacy. You will be supported throughout your internship with training, mentoring and opportunities to develop your skilled skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense and supply prescription medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist
- Provide medication counselling and patient education
- Develop confidence in S2/S3 medication recommendations and counselling
- Prepare and dispense IVF, oncology, ophthalmology and weight management medications
- Assist with medication reconciliation and clinical pharmacy activities
- Develop knowledge of specialist medications and treatment pathways
- Assist pharmacists with clinical queries and patient enquiries
- Assist with stock management, unpacking and rotation of medications
- Participate in pharmacist-led training and professional development
- Work towards completing all requirements of your pharmacist internship

Skills and Experience:
- Pharmacy degree completed or eligible to commence a pharmacist internship in Australia
- Strong interest in developing clinical pharmacy knowledge and skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
