$81.05 per hour + 12% super | 3-month contract (potential for extension) | Full time or Part-time | Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Investigation & Risk Assessment Specialist to join a specialist safety and support function within a large, complex organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investigations, behavioural risk, mental health or victim support professional who is confident managing sensitive and complex matters and working with individuals experiencing crisis, distress or challenging circumstances.

The Opportunity

Working as part of a highly specialised team, you will play a critical role in investigating concerning and threatening behaviours, assessing and managing risk, and providing advice and support across complex cases.

You will contribute to behavioural risk assessments, case management and investigations, collaborating with specialist internal and external stakeholders to determine appropriate responses and develop effective risk management strategies. Throughout your work, you will apply a considered, trauma-informed and person-centred approach when supporting individuals involved in complex, sensitive or high-risk circumstances.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Assess and manage risk relating to concerning and high-risk behaviours, including family violence, stalking, threats, assaults and sexual harm.
- Apply sound clinical judgement to complex mental health presentations, including suicidality and individuals who may be at risk of self-harm.
- Develop and implement appropriate risk management strategies,



using a trauma-informed and person-centred approach when managing complex and sensitive matters.
- Provide advice, support and referrals to individuals involved in challenging situations, while contributing to effective case management and multidisciplinary risk assessment.
- Collaborate with specialist internal and external stakeholders to coordinate responses, maintain accurate and confidential case records, and ensure practices align with relevant policies, procedures and best practice.

About you You’ll bring experience in risk assessment and management, ideally across complex matters involving concerning behaviours, sexual harm, family violence and/or mental health presentations.

You’ll have

- Experience in behavioural risk, mental health, victim support, forensic services or a related field
- Sound clinical judgement and a trauma-informed, person-centred approach
- Strong communication skills and confidence supporting people experiencing distress or crisis
- Strong analytical, case management and organisational skills
- A relevant clinical qualification such as psychology, social work or mental health nursing would be highly regarded
