The Role We are seeking an experienced Jumbo Operator to join our Development team at George Fisher Mine. Reporting to the Supervisor – Development, you will be responsible for safely operating Jumbo development drills to mine headings and install ground support in accordance with mine standards,



while contributing to a strong safety and performance focused team culture

This residential role based in Mount Isa operates on a 7/7 continuous rotating day and night shift roster, allowing you to return home each day and enjoy the lifestyle benefits of the local community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Safely mining to design, on grade, on line and on time
- Demonstrating safety leadership and adhering to site procedures, including correct use of signage and barricading
- Operating equipment in a manner that minimises damage and promptly reporting any equipment issues
- Washing down equipment and maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Completing accurate shift reports and ensuring effective shift handovers
- Supporting a positive team culture through accountability, mentoring and knowledge sharing

The successful candidate will possess:

- A current Australian manual driver's licence
- Significant experience (4+ years preferred) operating Jumbo development drills
- Experience operating equipment such as Sandvik Axera 7, DD420 or DD421 development drills
- A strong safety record and demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
- A high level of attention to detail with the ability to work accurately to design and schedule
- Solid communication and teamwork skills with the ability to contribute to a positive workplace culture
- Flexibility, adaptability and a proactive approach to work
- The ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screening
