THE ROLE

Bring learning to life at Ipswich Junior Grammar School. With several Primary Teacher opportunities available in our Junior School from Term 1, 2027, we are looking for enthusiastic educators to join our team. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Junior School, you will create memorable learning experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence and help students from Prep to Year 6 thrive.

This is an chance to make a genuine difference every day. You will lead a vibrant and inclusive classroom, use evidence and insight to shape your teaching, and partner with colleagues and families to support each student’s academic,



social and emotional growth.

Key responsibilities include

- Design and deliver purposeful, engaging and differentiated learning experiences aligned with the Australian Curriculum and School frameworks.
- Know your learners, celebrate their progress and use assessment and data to extend their growth.
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom where students feel safe, known and inspired to learn.
- Support the whole child through strong pastoral care and the School’s Positive Behaviour Learning Framework.
- Build trusted partnerships with students, families and colleagues and contribute enthusiastically to the wider life of the School.

ABOUT YOU

You are an inspiring primary educator who brings energy, creativity and care to the classroom. You connect easily with students, families and colleagues and are excited by the opportunity to help every learner discover what they can achieve. You’ll bring:

- Experience and confidence teaching students from Prep to Year 6.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and the ability to turn curriculum into engaging, responsive and differentiated learning.
- Contemporary teaching practice, sound judgement and excellent classroom management.
- Confidence using digital technologies to enrich learning and strengthen communication.
- Warm, clear and highly effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Eligibility for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
