About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and committed Junior School Chaplain who will play a significant role in the spiritual, pastoral and educational life of the College.

This is a teaching position with dedicated chaplaincy responsibilities. Working closely with the College Chaplain, Junior School Leadership Team and teaching staff, you will help students develop intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and socially while sharing the Christian narrative in authentic and engaging ways.

The successful applicant will lead Chapel programs, Christian education initiatives and opportunities for faith formation, while teaching assigned classes and contributing to the broader life of the College.

The Junior School Chaplain role is available as either a full time (1.0 FTE) or part time (0.6 FTE) position.

Key Responsibilities

- Promote and share the Christian message throughout the Junior School community.
- Manage the development, organisation and delivery of Junior School Chapel services and Christian Lunchtime Groups.
- Support students, staff and families through prayer, pastoral care and spiritual encouragement.
- Assist with College worship services, outreach programs, community events and mission opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Chaplaincy Team to strengthen the College's Christ-centred culture.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of Junior School Christian Education lessons and programming.
- Encourage staff and students to engage with a Christian worldview in learning and daily life.
- Teach assigned classes and deliver engaging, high-quality content and learning experiences.





· Design interesting and engaging lessons for students with a wide range of learning abilities and styles.
- Assess, monitor and report on student learning and progress.
- Foster positive classroom environments that encourage academic excellence and student wellbeing.
- Integrate innovative pedagogical approaches and technology into teaching practice.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
- Participate in camps, incursions and excursions, co-curricular activities and College events.
- Contribute to staff devotions, prayer groups and professional learning opportunities.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students, families, colleagues and the wider community.

About You To be successful in this role, you will:

- Be a believer in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, and be an active member of a reformed, evangelical Christian church.
- Be a faithful storyteller of what Jesus has done, unpacking the Christian narrative within the context of our College Community.
- Actively support the Christian teaching of the College and integrating their faith in all that they do.
- Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate and work relationally with staff, students, parents, and other external parties
- A collaborative approach and commitment to building positive relationships, working as an effective team member.
- Knowledge of contemporary educational practice, curriculum and student wellbeing.
- The ability to inspire, encourage and support students and staff to flourish.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

- Teaching qualifications in Education (Teaching).
- NESA accreditation.
- Experience in teaching and/or chaplaincy within a school environment.
- Theological qualifications from a recognised institution, or a willingness to undertake further theological study.
