Production Technologies Pty Ltd is looking for a Junior to Mid-Level AV Technician to join our team.
We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic about the live events and audio-visual industry, enjoys working as part of a team, and is keen to develop their technical skills across a broad range of AV disciplines.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their skills and experience within a professional live production environment.
About the Role
Working across a variety of live events and production environments, you will be involved in the preparation, installation, operation and pack-down of AV equipment.
Some knowledge across a range of AV disciplines would be advantageous, including:
- Audio systems and operation
- Video and display systems
- Lighting
- Rigging and staging
- Signal distribution and cabling
- Equipment preparation and testing
- Live event production
- Basic troubleshooting and fault finding
You don't need to be an expert in every discipline — a willingness to learn and develop across all areas of AV is highly valued.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Enthusiastic about audio-visual technology and live events
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Physically capable of handling AV equipment and working on event sites
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays when required
- A good communicator with a positive, can-do attitude
- Keen to learn and develop their technical skills
Essential Requirements
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Australian Permanent Residency
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required by the live events industry
