About the role

We are seeking a Kitchen Hand/All rounder to join our team at our Port Macquarie location on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on role that sits at the heart of our kitchen operations, supporting the preparation, cooking, and presentation of our food offerings. You will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is energetic, reliable, and eager to develop their skills in a hospitality kitchen environment.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients

- Supporting cooking & baking operations and assisting the team with bread and pastry making

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment

- Managing food storage and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

- Taking on general café duties, including customer service and food counter assistance

- Receiving and unpacking deliveries, checking stock levels, and rotating inventory appropriately

- Supporting the team during busy service periods and ensuring smooth kitchen operations

- Following recipes and kitchen procedures to maintain consistency and quality





- Reporting any maintenance issues or kitchen concerns to management promptly

What we're looking for

- Strong work ethic and reliability, with the ability to work as part of a busy team

- Basic food preparation and cooking skills, or willingness to learn and develop these skills

- Positive understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights

- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities

- Positive attitude, communication skills, and flexibility in task allocation

- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential

- Food handling certificate or willingness to obtain one

Hours Available: 4am - 12pm

Hours Needed: Monday - Sunday (working 5 day roaster)
