About the Role

We are currently looking for a Casual Laboratory Assistant to join our team at our brand-new Perth facility, located in Canning Vale. This modern laboratory and office space offers the latest technology, on-site parking, and contemporary amenities designed for comfort and efficiency.

This is an entry-level position with flexible hours available Monday to Friday, ideally between 8 am and 7:00 pm (minimum 30 hours per week). Afternoon availability is preferred.

The role is physically active and hands-on, involving moderate lifting and manual handling. It’s a outstanding opportunity for someone looking to start or grow their career in laboratory work within a supportive and safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

- Perform sample sorting, weighing,



and splitting of both liquid and solid sample types
- Operate laboratory machinery including the LM2 Pulverising Mill and Jaw Crusher
- Support Laboratory chemists and technicians with day-to-day activities
- Prepare client container orders for dispatch
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and manage waste disposal
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and PPE requirements

About You The ideal candidate will possess:

- Interest in science and laboratory work
- Reliable, hardworking, and punctual
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
- A team player with good communication skills
- BSc or Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques is advantageous but not required
