About the role

Rolling Acres Landscaping is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Landscape Construction Apprentices to join our growing team. This is a full-time apprenticeship opportunity that will provide you with comprehensive on-the-job training and mentorship in all aspects of landscape construction. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals, developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge that will set the foundation for a rewarding career in the landscape construction industry.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting with the installation of landscape features including paving, decking, fencing, and garden beds under the guidance of experienced team members
2. Preparing and maintaining construction sites, including site cleanup, tool management, and ensuring health and safety standards are met
3. Operating and learning to use landscaping equipment and machinery safely and effectively
4. Measuring, marking out and assisting with the layout of landscape designs
5. Mixing and applying landscaping materials such as concrete, mortar, and other compounds
6. Assisting with plant selection, planting and garden establishment work
7. Attending and completing required off-the-job training components of your apprenticeship

Communicating effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met
9. Contributing to maintaining a safe and productive work environment for all team members

What we're looking for

1. Demonstrated commitment to learning and career development
2. A genuine passion for the outdoors and interest in landscape construction and design
3. The ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
4. Strong work ethic, reliability and punctuality
5. Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced colleagues
6. Good teamwork and communication skills
7. A valid driver's licence (or willingness to obtain one) would be advantageous
8. Enthusiasm for health and safety practices and a commitment to working safely
9. Previous experience in landscaping, gardening or construction is not essential, as full training will be provided
